Well, Saturday night was a big Hoemcoming dance at a local high school. It was the first time that i was using a laptop and mydmx to control my lights.
I did manage to get about 8 fast and 2 slow scenes done for the dance which was plenty for what I needed for now.
With having mydmx and my laptop, it actually saved about 1/2 hour of setup time. I was able to link all of my fixtures in a single line and control them all.
My old setup required 2 hardware controllers with certain lights being linked up with each controller. It made setup a hassle making sure each fixture was linked with its specific controller.
Our whole setup for the dance took about 2.5 hours with 3 people compared to 3 hours with 3 people. This included audio, lighting and testing.
All in all, the night went off without a hitch. All lights worked like they were suppose to, and we also started using wireless DMX for the light show also.
It was a great night.
