So, what are the major differences between the two? I've invested into the Wiflex system... Will the units work with each other if I invest into the new wireless system? and what are the advantages? Also, the WiFlex had issues sending dmx signal to Chauvet fixtures (Slimpar 56's in my case) Will this be a non issue with the new system? as the Wiflex was advertised to work with "any" on the market fixtures, and that turned out to be false advertisement...

First, the difference is the WiFly is a more stable version of the WiFlex... Works on the same basic ideas, just more stable with less Data drops.
Second, the Chauvet fixtures you mentioned are not WiFlex or WiFly capable. Only one of them is RF compatable....However, none of them are wireless dmx capable. With that said, the WiFlex system will not work with them no matter what the settings are.
So help me understand this directly from the WiFlex Product page "The WiFlex DMX System, by American DJ, is a transmitter and receiver package that is compatible with all standard DMX controllers and fixtures in the market"

Isn't all its doing is sending a DMX signal wirelessly? I get if the slimpar had a built in receiver, and I was trying to use the WiFlex Transmitter to send DMX data, but like I said, why does it need to be "Wiflex or WiFly compatible if the Transmitter and receiver is just sending it DMX wirelessly? and better yet, why isnt it covered in the product info? I'm over them not working together, it would just be nice to understand the logic behind it. Also, so will the Wiflex T&R work with the WiFly's transreceivers?
there is a little room to wiggle in this, but basically it is working like a Wifi network...transmiter and reciever are sending recieving coded messages....without the code, the reciever ignores the message. All it is doing is sending singal and recieving...correct, but other brands have different codes and timing of jump patterns. Simply having a reciever doesnt mean it will work correctly, it has to have the same algorithms and such as well. This is not explained in depth in the manual because it is actually very complex, the manual is set to get it working and some small troubleshooting steps if it isnt.... to go into depth on this would add many many pages to the manual

to my knolledge they should work together, but have not tested it myself to know for sure
