Which of these lights should I get???

My opinion...Go for the electra 250. It has some better options to work with, and is advertised as having no duty cycle (meaning you can run it all night). Plus, it's only a few bucks more.

do you know what kind of shape the beams make on the floor? I've never seen either light in person.

The Electra 250 will give you a better room coverage than the Minimax, and both are moonflower effects. I have learned the hard way that cheaper isn't always better. All lights from ADJ are tested and verified to be working when they ship. I have spent 6 weeks trying to get a replacement light for one that came from ADJ's competitor's factory in non-working order without any shipping damage. I saved 10 bucks and it took me 6 weeks and $16 in postage to get the light. ADJ stands by their products, and the service/support is worth the extra few dollars.

The light bulbs are better quality too. (If you don't think this matters, try buying several - you will see the savings immediately)
