im kinda stuck still. i dont know if i should get 2 active scan 250s or 4 pocket scans. i know the active scans have a lot more to them. but the pockets are smaller and lighter, and ill have 4 insted of 2.

The pockets also have the lazer. Ive seen the pockets and with a littler bit of fog they kick some major butt! Its up to you tho. The Actives are awesome as well.

shadow, it all depends what you need them for...if you need the extra brightness then go with the active scans..they are awesome! but if you don't need them to be super bright i would say go with pocket scans...you DO get four of them...its also your personal opinion...have you seen both lights live in action? you should do that to see which has the effect your going for. another possibility(if you have the budget) is get two pocket scans and two active scans..then you have the features of both...

yes i have seen both, just the pockets have a more narrow beam. only problem is if i do deciede to get the pocket scans i have no idea how to sell these actives.

Shadow, are you adding to an existing show, or are you building from scratch? What does your current light show consist of? I need these answers to help you best. If the lights are to bright and you add the Pockets you would be disappointed, because they would get washed out, on the other hand if the Active Scans are too bright for you current show they will wash out your other effects. Let me know what you have, and I can give you a better answer.
i have a few lights like the adj agressor. i just wanted an impressive light show that could last a while before repeating. thats why i was considering 4 pocket scans. i saw one and yea there small and light compare to these active scans. (30lbs and 2 times the size)plus with the pockets i can get a solo controller and use all the programs in it. with the active scans i have to program and im bad at that hehe. i can never put together a good scene.
Well the pocket scans might do well for you, but you really won't want to run them much alongside things like the Aggressor running. The Aggressor is a 600Watt light, and very bright. The 100 watt bulbs on the Pockets should make for an exiting change of pace, but get lost running along side (simultaneously) with the bright effects. I would probably use the pockets for most of the show, then throw on your bright effects sparingly to add a little flare and WOW to the show. Now on the other hand, if you went with the Active Scans, you can run them the whole night, and toss your other effects on whenever you feel like it, and everything will be nice and bright. But I think you're right, you're probably better off getting the pockets, and using them the way I described.
hey, that brings up a question that i have...what would be good lights to go with the pockets? would something more like mini gressor? i would like to get 4 pockets but i don't have the budget for it...so i would get the "cheaper" lights now and get the pickets when budget allows...so anyways what lights would look best to compliment the pockets?

ok one last question. is there a controller that will do random mirror movement, colors, and gobos? kinda like the m@rtin MX-1. i would like to use something random like that insted of the same old over and over
