When & why was the Utopia discontinued?

I actually found a dealer who had some in stock and they look interesting enough to check out at their price. I did see them in the discontinued section...

Hi...

I am not speaking on bahalf of ADJ, or anything, but I just checked the Utopia out, and I'd risk saying they discontinued it because it really wasn't adding much to the line...

It has less features then other lights for a similar price , (single wheel for colors/gobos, only 4 dmx chans, etc)

Just MHO...

The Utopia 250s has been discontinued. Technology keeps moving.

It seems as if the Utopia was replaced with the Scan Tron...a much better light (feature-wise). My big problem with the Utopias was that they had a duty cycle.
