Hey everyone!

I am realizing that the school year is just now about to start and I want to get back out in to the middle school and high school venue. For the most part, the students don't realize the kind of lights I have, but I do. Back in June I got a truss system for my lights. It's really great! It really adds a more professional look to my setup, but I don't have all that many lights to fill it up. So far this is the list of lights I have:
1. 2x American DJ Vertigos
2. 2x American DJ Snap Shot Strobes
3. 4x American DJ Par 38 Cans
4. 1x Off Brand Mirror Ball Kit (1x Pinspot)
And then there are some other cheap little lights that I don't like to use like a police beacon, and a strand of mulit-colored rope lights. So what would you guys recommend I get next? Keep in mind I am using an American Dj Light Copilot for my controller, and I am not sure if I want to go to DMX lights yet(THEY'RE BIG $$$$). I don't really want to spend more than $300 on a light, so whatever I can find at the local Guitar Center is what I am dealing with. I need a few more lights for the "fast" songs and one for the "slow songs". Please let me know what you think I should do.

Some good lights for slow songs are the Roto Pod, Sunray II (white), Sunray III (multi color), and Starball II. The Sunray and Starball are meant to replace the mirror ball because they are easier to set up, brighter, and don't require pinspots. The roto pods are nice because you can aim them onto the dance floor, rather than having full room coverage. Also, if you go with the roto pods, I would suggest getting more than one. If you buy four, you could always chase them on the Co-Pilot during fast songs. I also like the Topaz, Trance Wheel, Titan, and Wirl because you can project them onto the wall behind you. They may work for slow dances as well, however they are a little bright to look into. Hope this helps a little. Smiler
