Skilz, ur humour goes way above my head.

A DJ is a manipulator of the crowds mood. A manipulator of music. A manipulator of the soul.

Cheers

Maybe you guys would like an opinion of somebody who isn't a DJ. But I am close.

To me it's not a job. I'm fortunate enough to run my own business so being a VJ is a "professional hobby".

The DJ controls the crowd. He leads them on an emotional journey. He listens to the crowd and the crowd listens to him, it's a journey together.

Now here's my part. lol Playing a gig in a dark room wouldn't be fun, and playing in perfect lighting wouldn't be fun either. I'm a side-kick, the flavour that goes with the meat. The VJ is integral to round out the emotion that comes from the DJ.

I feel like I'm rambling already.

I fill the rest of the experience since a person only experiences a small part of their world through sound.

Dam..now I'm lost. Stupid loud tunes in the background. Ignore everything I said.
