What do you guys think?

I wouldn't go with a strobe, many people find them offensive, and some even will go into seizures if they have a certain condition when they are exposed to it. What about a simulated water or fire effect light?

I agree that strobes can be kinda harsh. I have one but plan on using it as a punch to accent a drum hit or something (used very sparingly). But after I bought it I realized that all of my lights basically have a shutter to strobe, and having 6 fixtures all storbing would do the trick and I didnt need to give up 800watts to do it. I thought the Fascinator was kind of neat for both a DMX and sound activated fixture. I haven't seen one in person yet but they look neat in the video. I've seen them for about $159-169 new too, so its pretty cheap for a DMX fixture. I'd say get something you can use in both setups, or grab a really nice moving head fixture (2 are always better though).

Since we started using dmx lights, we never got back to spin and puke lights. 4 scanner is good but you are missing the most important basic ingredient, the color fill. Then add a centerpiece. Good luck.

That light does look awesome. I know I will probably get a hit for this but, is there a ADJ version of the Kinta? That would be nice to have.

Are those simmulated water/fire effects good to use on a chaser?, or does it take a couple seconds for the bulb to come after you plug it in?

kev- yea ive seen the fascinator and it is good for the money but i dont think i can hook it up to a chaser
