For those that don't recall, I rarely do any DJ support. I mainly do live sound and live performance events. I am picking up a few clients that are doing acoustic instrument performances such as blue grass and Americana.
I have been using the RGB3C for a quick, easy set up. I am considering adding some CWWW or perhaps going with a RGBW.
The concert promoter for the acoustic/blue grass/Americana would like better visibility on the faces of the performers.
The other option is to use some conventional Par64 with a 500 Watt medium flood, but "heat" on stage is a concern of the promoter.
My current plan would be to use the fixtures with "white" towards Center Stage and use my Tri18X on Stage Left and Stage Right.
That would permit the "star" or soloist to be more visible.
So, what controller should I use...even if I need to run the RGBW or CWWW on a separate controller than the RGB3C...
AND...any other suggestions for my current situation.
Oh, and while I was very pleased with the Mega Par Profile fixtures, one of my clients offered to buy them at a price I could not decline. For smaller applications, they worked very nicely. For my money, there is nothing currently better on the market than the 3 Watt RGB LED devices. I hope I am as pleased with my next purchase.
