Ok, I currently have 6 Revo III and I am in the process of buying 4 Quad Gems to hang up in the over head (25ft). This is all hanging up at my ice rink in which I am in the process of changing it into a teen age night club called: Club Sk8.

The only draw back to the whole thing is my insurance. Because they don't want kids running over other kids fingers when they fall, it is kind of important to have a little more lighting in the rink so kids can see each other.

I was thinking about adding wall wash lighting around the out side of the rink to add more light to the facility, but I do not want to add wash to the ice surface to wash out my Revo III.

Now, if I get wash lighting, is it better to shine it from the ground up or from the over head down? Plus, which type of wash lighting would be good and effective without have to go for broke?

Plus, I am also looking to contol these lights some how. Currently they are set on default and they are running by sound. However, should I leave it like that? or, would it be a better light show to have some type of controller. Which type of wireless controller should I get to take advantage of what these Revo's can do? And is wireless the best way to go?

Wel, since this is an ice rink(didn't you post here before last year?), I'd say go LED. Less heat hitting the ice. Heat+ice=bad.

Placement: Depends what you're going for.

Punch Pros? Color changing and big wash area. Fairly cost effective. Not sure how many you'd need for a 25-foot throw and the size of the rink, not my area of expertise.

Too bad you can't put LED tubes around the edge of the rink(under the barrier) to try to project into the ice for some neat effects. Doubt it would work good anyways.

I think even with some moderate wash lighting, your insurance would be happy. You can always add more, or 64 LED Pros as wel.

What have you got now: Big long flourescent lights above the rink? Not good for your club idea. Good for your regular business.
