Volume Fader is no longer working on midlog 2

Hi,

I have had the VMS4 for about 2 months now and it was working flawlessly up until now. All of a sudden during a mix, the volume fader on midlog 2 ceased to work and i noticed it didn't have the same smoothness as the others have, it was loose and didn't appear to be working. when i looked closer i noticed a silver case under the main face plate was wobbling which is barely visible and solid in all of the other working volume faders.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is there any way to fix it without having to send it off? Its alot of hassle and would cost alot to send off.

Exactly the same problem with mine and on midilog 2 also.

Nowhere can fix it for me unless it gets sent off. Funnily enough i can't send it off as i use it 5 times a week professionally and don't have a backup vms4!!

I'm pretty sure if i could open the unit up and get rid of the top face plate i could probably fix it as it seems as though it has been dislodged from something. But the only way to do that is to remove the small turntables. Any idea on how to open it? If i could i could possibly post a solution?

It's a right balla*he to open it up or so i found. You need to unscrew about 20+ screws to do it and you also need to be very careful

The platters remove by unscrewing about 2 or 3 screws on the back on each side. You can't reach the faders that way though. (not easily)

yh i don't wanna upload it, i'll just live with it! Will American Audio replace / repair it for me? Also, where would i have to send it (UK)
