VMS4 wobbly knobs clicky faders

Hi Guys and gals looking for another vms4 user that can let me know the score i have a sneaky feeling iv been sold a return or ex demo VMS4 at full price as some of the midi rotory knobs feel real wobbly and the chanel 1 fader actualy clicks and feels like it scrapes between 3/4 and fully open position also when i opened my outer box the inner was not sealed (i have been reasured on that part that it was because it was Q/C but thought it would have been resealed also had to wait a day more as the software was missing and the vendor had to mail me out a disc after having problems and posting for help on the Virtual DJ forum i was accused of having unlicensed software by one of the moderators so now im realy worried iv been ever so slightly errrm DONE big time
can anyone comment on the wobbly clicky bits please ???

Sometimes the faders caps rub the paint (hash marks) a little. Gently pulling up on the plastic cap takes care of that. The knobs should not wobble. They all should have the same amount of play, a small amount that acts like a shock absorber if the knob is bumped.

All VMS4's are shipped with the Virtual DJ custom software CD. That is the part I would be concerned about. Also you should have a white sticker on the bottom of the unit with the serial number of the software.

ok not much sence from the supplier apart from offering me £15 store credit (no good i live ove 100 miles from the store and dont think il use them again ) so called ADJ again to let them know the responce and they said they had looked into it and asured me that it was normal to be opened as it was probebly q/c checked as it hit rotterdam and a uk plug put in the box but it wasent normal for the software to be missing and were investigating that said the suplier probebly sent me a disk from a diffrent box hence the serials not maching up

so just the wobbly knbs clicky faders to deal with wich was avoided by adj and the suplier looks like i will be carying back up mixer with me for a while if it gose down it comes with 12 months warenty from adj so just end up throwing back at them by the looks of things

all in all not a good experiance but you live and lurn
