There's a lot going wrong here. First of all, you should set your Midi latency to AT LEAST 10 ms as written in the manual (i recommend using around 20 - 30ms!!). This can be done with the ADJ Asio driver.

Second of all.. In this driver, you are abled to configure which Midilog runs though what actual channel on your mixer.

It should be looking somewhat like this, if using the 8 out 2 in function:

Midilog one channel 5/6
Midilog two channel 1/2
Midilog three channel 3/4
Midilog four channel 7/8
Master rec in 1/2

When this is done, go to traktor -> preferences -> Output routing. Within this part:

Channel A 5/6
Channel B 1/2
Channel C 3/4
Channel D 7/8

This should atleast give you a nice bit of sound, and the option to use 4 decks at the same time (if using the 4decks interface).

If your using this configuration, you should be abled to hear everything, through your headphones and master. Hope this helps.
Sorry for taking such a long time to respond. Yes, im using External mode because my amlifier is hooked to my VMS 4 directly. If you set it up like i described above, you should be abled to work with 4 decks in Traktor. I do not know how this is done in VDJ or any other piece of software. Hope this helps mate.
I do know what you mean, it seems to me that the volume fader on midilog 1 works for deck a, but you have to use the EQ faders of midilog 2 to control deck a. Correct me if im wrong.

If this is the problem, its probably the mapping you are currently using. Make sure you have traktor updated to ATLEAST 1.2.5 - and make sure you have the mapping of www.vms4dj.com (go to download, kind of obvious).

If you have any difficulties, id love to help.
@de Schim,

I'm having similar problems. My headphone cue doesn't work, am I able to cue using another channel on the back of the mixer?
I'm using Traktor Pro 1.2.7 - Internal mixing mode, with 4 in 4 out. Everything works apart from the cue, which is extremely frustrating indeed.

Another Issue i've encountered seems to be another hardware problem - when my crossfader is in the middle, my output increases considerably. This is shown on the VU meter on the mixer, but not on the software. I have gigs coming up very soon, and I'm quite anxious to get it working before I have to cancel them

Would appreciate any help I can get.

Regards
