VMS4 LED Mappings in traktor pro

Anybody?!

This one looks like a tech for AA. I found some help on another site but it did not work for me:
After you follow the link photojojo provided and map an out to your function, getting colours is easy. Just set the Midi Range as you require, set the Min to 0 and the Max from 1 to 15 for red(1 is the dimmest and brightest being 15), 17 to 31 is pink (very similar to red though), 33 to 47 is orange, 49 to 63 is amber, 65, to 79 is yellow, 81 to 95 is light yellow, 97 to 111 is light green and 112 to 127 is green.

Basically there are two led under each button, you tell it how much of each to turn on and that gives the colours above.

It still doesn't work though, the buttons remain red

I'd hoped that AA tech might of posted in here by now, I may have to drop them an email.

I randomly achieved a blue LED on a loop button yesterday (deck a) but when I copied the map and assigned it to a different deck (b) the other loop button went red.

It doesn't make a lot of sense to me now I have those midi-range parameters and they still don't change.

Hey FrostieChico, set the red LED MIDI to the primary buttons midi output, and the Blue to the secondary buttons MIDI command. IE under add in select the assignment for CUE 1 (Ch1- F#0) set to button and set to value1 to select set + store cue, then in add out select (Ch1- F#0) for hot cue1 state.

I've created a fresh map and followed your instructions, I've added some screen shots to see if I'm on the right lines.

I don't really understand what you mean by setting red LED Midi to primary and Blue LED to secondary. Apologies for being a noob to all this!

Just to add that hot cue 1 is still only glowing red.

That seems Right now you also mentioned that you want to use the Blue LED's. Here is where mapping gets complex if you want to set the Blue LED for a different state of the same command I am afraid you are going to need to create a modifier. I am actually stuck on making modifiers for a mapping on this contact NI via their forum see if they can help you.

Is it possible to simply get traktor to use the blue LED's instead of the red ones? ie, is there a setting on that second screen shot somewhere that changes the LED in use? If I can start by finding out how to do that I can attempt to move onto more complex modifiers as I gain in confidence!

Referring to post #3 by azizhousecallz, is there a range of values for midi-range that will determine the colour of the LED output?

to trigger the blue leds set the MIDI out to the secondary command value of the button. Shift and button.only the loop and hot cues,and sync have blue leds. but all buttons have a 2ndary command.

Will there be a firmware update that enables me to use midi-range to determine which colour LED I get in a similar fashion to other controllers? I've used your method of mapping the secondary midi for blue at present but ideally would like a little more control over the colour choice.
