VMS4 Firmware Update Mac Help

Just got my VMS4 and the basic VDJ LE software was working fine. I then looked to experiment with the controller/ software and found myself updating the firmware. Using the VMS4 firmware uploader, I updated to the firmware to version 3.11 and now cannot open the VDJ software. When I turn on the unit, the lights do not work as before and instead I get a few flashes on the EQ and the Mic 1 ON/OFF button. When I open VDJ LE, I am told that the VMS4 is not connected.

Any ideas?
