Hello All,

I just got my VMS4 DJ Controller and I am using it. Everything is working fine, however as per the blogs, forums and the VMS4 documentation, we are supposed to update the firmware. I have repeatedly used the upgrade file, and same result everytime.
VMS4 LEDs show V 3.8.1 and it doesnt show V 3.1.1

I have gone over all the forum topics to see what i can do to fix it, however nothing works. The upgrade installs successfully, i remove the VMS4 from my Virtual DJ output to make sure it doesnt impact as well.

I am also experiencing clicks in between songs, speed of the song, etc has no issues, just random clicks in the background. The same track that i play in itunes or media player, does not get any sound clicks. I am playing mp3 files @ 320 kbps bitrate.

My system specs are
Dell Inspiron N5010
Intel Core i3 @ 2.27 GHz
4 GB RAM
1 GB ATI Radeon Mobility HD 5470 Graphics card
ATI Sound
Windows 7 Home Premium

Would really appreciate if any of you could figure out and suggest solutions to my problems

Apologies if these have already been discussed in some remote part of the forums

Thanks & Regards,
Faheem Rizvi

Hey Freshfluke,

Thankyou for the reply. I will try out the latency increase. Just to be clear, raising the latency will affect sound quality but make the VMS4 controllers less responsive?

So I will be compromising on control for better quality? or am i just really confused?

I will email the support guys, Im in Pakistan btw, not in the EU or the US, but will give it a go.

Thanks a lot
You are not confused. If your PC is not powerful enough, you have to sacrifice one or the other, sound quality, or latency (response time). For the most part you usually just need to adjust the latency a tiny bit ie 1 or 2 ms. 1 or 2 ms is not really enough to notice a performance difference.
