VMS4 Crossfader | ADJ Forums

Hey guys Im gettting in to scratching using the VMS4 as external mixer. the crossfader in this thing has about a 1/4 inch dead zone that is really a problem. i know I can get an innofader and plan to, but the price is just too steep right now. i just dropped $1100 on PA and speakers, for better paying gigs. In the meantime, is there any other fader that will work in it? I can do some modiicatiopns, thats no problem, anyone have any ideas?

with my old mixer i disassembled the xfader and put some piece of plastic on it in a way that the "dead zone" was shortened to a minimum... but of course that's a nasty hack

i can really recommend the innofader, feels much better than the original fader for scratching!

@freshfluke can you go into more detail in doing that fader hack ?

I know Vestax off plastic peices for some of their mixers, I wonder if those would work

yeah, these plastic things do the same.
