I'm not sure if this is possible with the VMS4 because as far as I can tell the audio outputs aren't discrete or assignable. But I'm hoping maybe I'm missing something or that this could be achieved with a future driver update.

I'm using the VMS4 with Traktor Pro, I also have 2 MK1200s that I keep for nostalgic reasons. I want to use the VMS4 as a true 4 deck midi controller for Traktor, all EQing and mixing done in the software (4 Int Deck config), so no audio actually going through the midilogs. But I also want to be able to use the VMS4 as a 4x4 sound card with the 4 input channels for my turntables going through decks C and D in Traktor and the 4 output channels being assigned directly to the headphone output for the monitor out line and to the main output. Essentially I want the functionality my Audio 4 DJ provides to be handled by the VMS4.

Again, unless I'm missing something, in 4 out mode the 4 out channels will only go through the midilogs and are not assignable to just the headphone out and the main output. Any help is appreciated.

The VMS4 in 4out, has a 4in four out interface that are assigned to the Middle are of the VMS4 Channels 2 and 3, In Traktor you could use the inputs as audio thru but you want to set them to decks C and D. Thats not going to work. you can either run them to decks A and B. use the VMS4 in 8 out mode set decks A and B to MIDI log 1 and 4 then plug your SL-1200's to MIDI logs 2 and 3 set them to analog without routing them to Traktor.

If you really want to send your records audio to Traktor for FX. This is where ASIO4All might come in handy. use Asio4all and a Versaport run your 1200's to the Versaport inputs. then either set the USB outs to the VMS4 in 8 out for decks C and D.
