VMS4.1 No Sound

Hi

Apologies if this question has been asked many times already - I had a look through the forums and couldn't find an answer.

I received my new VMS4.1 last night. I connected it up (already had Virtual DJ Pro Edition on laptop). I used the provided CD and installed the Asio drivers. When I tried to play a track via my laptop/VMS4.1 there was no sound output!

When using the microphone, this worked fine. I checked all my laptop settings - everything looks fine. I then deinstalled the old version of the Asio drivers, rebooted and still no sound output. I plugged in my old Numark controller and this worked fine.

As a last resort I installed Virtual DJ LE (which shipped with the product) but again, nothing.

Any ideas??

hm, i'm not familiar with the VDJ settings, but did you check the routing?

please note also that the vms is used in external mixing mode (as it is called in traktor, i assume this is labelled similarly in VDJ).

as a test, have you been able to choose the VDJ as normal laptop soundcard?

and what computer are we talking about?

Hi, managed to resolve it. In Config within VirtualDJ, I never had it set correctly, it should be:

Inputs: None
Outputs: Master: Chan 1&2 Headphones Chan 3/4
Sound card: Asio Driver
