VMS4.1 as midi controller in ableton controlling vst's

Hi all,

i'm having a bit of a problem.
my vms4.1 is working great, really happy with it, so that's not the issue ^^

i want to use it in ableton live as a midi controller, to control my softsynths (let's ay sylenth1)

but when i use the vms4.1, all the mappings where the leds can be changed (so let's say as example cue-play etc) are giving me sounds in sylenth as if i was playing a midi keyboard.
so i don't want that. i just want the vms4.1 as a blank midi controller.

anyone know how i can take away the pre-mapped vallues inside the vms?

not sure if i can help here...

in traktor, the outputs only light up when you have mapped those as "outputs". those can be removed easily from the mapping, but i dont think that is the solution...

so please explain a bit more your setup and what you want to achieve.

hi, thanks for your reply.

well what i want to do is use the vms as a midi controller inside ableton to use it as a device to control plugins and not as a dj controller.

But i allready found out that i can overwrite the mapping just by using the ableton "midi map" function :-)

so i think my problem is solved :-)
