Hi everyone,

I've recently become the owner of a ADJ VMS 4.1 used with VDJ on my laptop. I've only had it a few days but noticed that about 5 minutes after i switch on the deck it suddenly switches itself off and doesnt reset unless the power switch on the rear is turned off and on again.

The unit came supplied with a north american 2 pin plug which I noticed supplies an input of 5.9v at 2amps but I rear in the manual and seen on the back of the deck that it requires a 6v power supply. Is my deck being underpowered by 0.1 volts which could be causing the cut out???

It seems very strange to me,

The cut outs have happened twice now on different days but after the cut out happens and the box is immediately reset, the cut out doesn't seem to happen :/

Any help would be very grateful

The deck is connected to a USB2 port on my laptop and NOT through a hub. I'm using a HP Ultrabook which is only 4 months old. Just read another article that the VMS 4.1 deck suffers with a static issue that can cause the deck to suddenly turn off when the unit discharges suddenly through touching the headphone port.

Can anyone else with a VMS 4.1 confirm what type of power adapter they are using??

I'd have thought that if the product requires 6v then it would have a matching PSU that outputs 6v??
come on American Audio!! Is there a solution from someone? I've been waiting 5 days now for a response to me last reply and nothing.

If the cut outs are being caused by a static issue, is there a simple solution to ensuring that the static is always gone?

If its the power supply then why is a 5.9v adapter being supplied for a 6v product??
