Good Day,

After getting the units up and running, I need further explanation on how to do a few more things things.

The 5R has an option to switch the fixture to spot mode. The manual says "The Shutter opens and the lamp can be adjusted."

Before I climb up and change this to spot, can someone tell me what I can adjust?

Should I use the SPEC> DLOF OR SPEC> SPOT to set this?

My goal is to use the 5R as supplemental lighting for our movable stage when the pars are not hitting the complete stage. If there is a dark spot, just put some light in it with the 5R.

Thanks in advance

The spot mode will only let you adjust the Lamp position on the unit BUT... with the Platinum 5R lamp that process is eliminated as the lamp itself optimizes the spot. so this function is redundant and not really needed on this fixture.
This is not a mode for you to turn it into a Follow spot. haha.
Welcome to the forums.
Sincerely,
Why? You have a DMX controller, the Magic 260. you do all of your scene programming on that, not on the actual fixture menu. most people just get the fixtures, mount them and then add a DMX cable and start programming. The default fixture settings are usually left alone unless you need to change the pan or tilt invert.
