After using the Vizi Spot 5R for the past four months and putting them through the paces I thought I would offer my two cents.

From the beginning:

I originally ordered two lights. Both arrived dead on arrival. Due to the busy schedule my company runs with gigs, I needed these lights to function ASAP so I paid extra money to have them fixed by a local repair tech. Since having them repaired the lights have worked flawlessly.

Recently, we needed to expand our light show to include four fixtures. It was impossible for us to track down two new light fixtures so we purchased two refurbished units. One arrived dead on arrival, so we had to pay additional money to have it fixed.

My assumption is that this is a common problem. Our repair tech said all three lights had faulty soldering. This of course has me concerned about the longevity of the light and doesn't give me a ton of confidence in what the future will bring.

I will say that we own two copies of myDMX, 4 ADJ Megabar Pro's, 4 Vizi Spots and a variety of other fixtures (Revo's, LED pars & pinspot) - and the Vizi Spots are the first product we've ever had an issue with. It also happens to be the most expensive (by far).

In Use:

The vizi spots are simply amazing. The brightness of the lights along with the amazing portability of the lights make them a perfect fit for any application. We have been contracted by a D-League Basketball Team affiliated with the Boston Celtics and Charlotte Bobcats to provide lighting before each game and during introductions. We currently use four fixtures but would like to expand the show to 8 (when we can track down additional Vizi Spots). Our original program included 4 Vizi Spots and 2 Elation Design Spot 575 fixtures. The brightness is almost identical and the fixture is half the footprint.

When matched with lighting software, the light is awesome! We are mobile DJ company and use these for a variety of applications including:

Schools, Weddings, Corporate Gigs and Private Parties. Regardless of the venue, we are able to find a suitable application for our lights.

Here is a recent video showcasing the Vizi Spot 5Rs:

Overall Impression:

I love the light more than any other piece of equipment we own. 3 of 4 arrived dead on arrival and due to shortage in supply I was forced to have them repaired at my cost. I question the longevity of the light and I always wonder if I will encounter any future problems with them. If not for arriving dead on arrival, I would give these lights a 10 out of 10.

Even with the complications, we are still looking to expand our inventory when they are available again. We love the lights and hopefully the next batch arrives in working order!

James,

That's fantastic. We'll be doing some additional videos with the Vizi Spot's now that we have four in our inventory. Again, our goal would be to have 8 fixtures in our inventory. Our YouTube channel is very active - I'd be happy to do a formal video review of the Vizi Spots too if ADJ wants to send over some additional lights Wink Just playing! Let me know if we can provide any footage, we'd love to showcase the lights.
In all seriousness, I have a ton of video of the Vizi's in action. Most of the videos showcase two lights in use - but I'd be happy to put together a quick review with highlights showcasing the lights in a practical application.

I wouldn't turn down a sweet deal on the four additional vizi's we want to purchase either! Speaking of, any way of finding out when they are due back in stock?
