Bummed out tonight, used the Vizi Led Spots twice and now one must go back in for repair. The gobo wheel sticks and will not move. It is between two gobos so I have half of one and half of the other. Its starting Prom season. Got one Friday and one Saturday..

Just really disappointed, loved the lights and how they looked and handled. Had to fax in my invoice and will wait for a UPS tag to be emailed to me and take it to UPS.

Since you're talkng about the VIZI LED spot, what were your impressions on the brightness of the spot? Can you give me a halogen wattage comparison based on your opinion and observation?

I'm debating getting 2 of these to replace 2 movers I currently have. I'm a bit worried about the in-box fatality issue you mentioned, but that's what warranties are for!
At our DJ meeting Tuesday it was (dmx 101) sitting next to Elations 250 Power Spot and it was dim comparead to it. But when I had them out alone with a pair I was impressed with the brightness it has and the prisms and smoothness of transitions. Overal I'm pretty excited about them, and remember only 21 lbs. Still waiting for C/S to email the shipping label for the return.
I would expect it to be a bit dim compared to an Elation fixture. I'm thinking how would it compare to my 150-watt Chauvet Q-Spots, which for 150-watts(I think), they put out pretty good. Even so, I'm on a mission to phase out Chauvet from my rig, if possible.

My issue with the Vizi series is the costs, but I'm also looking at "you get what you pay for". Cost merely prevents me from getting stuff as fast as I may wish to get them.

I saw the "under the hood" video. The prism stuff looked neat, I'd definately have applications for some of that, and possibly the gobo indexing stuff. I wish some of the gobos were different to go with my current show, but I suppose I can deal with that by keeping the older movers in production.
