Two things.

1) For some reason, my offline visualizer won't work. It will start and I can access the menus and such, but nothing appears in the stage view of it. Whatever was on the computer screen before I click on the visualizer tab appears where the stage should be. I'm running Win Vista. I have a show on Wednesday and need to have three new songs programmed before then, and don't have any time to setup the rig before then because I am on the road until then with another band. As quick a response as possible is appreciated.

2) Check out a Gotee/Warner Bros. artist's tour, lit and controlled entirely by american dj. All synced entirely, no lighting crew or director or operator went on tour. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MnSDspBog9M Shot impromptu at tour rehearsal.

Hardly.

Check the backing tracks. I can guarantee that they are doing syncing via some means or another. Even if using MyDMX, it's looking very scene based, which is fine. They apparently did quite a bit of work on the timing issues of motion and triggering.

Onto questions: has the visualizer ever worked? Maybe you lack video RAM? It is one of those INtel boards with the crappy built in video? I think ADJ says you must have 32MB of video RAM to work with the 3D Visualizer. Toss some specs out of the laptop.
I've done a 97 minute show with LESS effort since I couldn't do the same degree of some stuff. Basically, hit play on the BluRay, hit Scene 1 on MyDMX, take a 97 minute nap and in the end, I'm OFF by 2 frames at the end when credits are done rolling. Big deal!
WEll, then that would be synchronization, albeit at a "lowest common denominator". It can be quite a bit of work on timing. So many choices, from dragging in a reference track, to the backing tracks provding reference. I bet the movement issues were the hardest. Once you get it done, then it's not so bad. This is where MyDMX can help, because it can do the "in between" stuff much more gracefully. Of course, using some sort of CC input controller(say, an expression pedal) and doing it that way, and then copying/pasting that CC data into the CC controller you actually need makes it a bit easier. Doing the washes and fills must have been simple compared to the movements beause it's easier to deal with washes than times.

No sync would be just running it and going, which clearly they aren't doing. That's how I'm running this show. We start the video and once I hit my first cue at about 1:11, I'm for all practical purposes, done. That is just a "safety/reference" cue point.

What I would do is see if any of the latest rounds of Windows updates may require you to update your video drivers. Also, check for your version of MyDMX to make sure it's the latest from the web site.

Also, are you running anti-virus software? Describe your connection to the internet. PLEASE don't be one of those people not using a broadband router of some sort.

Also, change back to your "Default camera angle", which is typically done by hitting the "1" key. I get the feeling you somehow knocked yourself out of the right shot. At the same time, I am suspecting something else. It may not be the solution, but it can't hurt to try.

Send specs and MyDMX release as soon as you can.

Is the 3D Visualizer crashing at all? It's sounding like a video driver issue.
How about the anti-virus status? Internet connection via a broadband router(not the trash your carrier may be providing, one YOU provided and please, no 2-Wire crap from Yahoo)

What is the service pack? Latest updates?

Check the manufacturor and see if they have an updated video driver.

You're well above spec on all aspects. The RAM seems a bit odd, so you're definately not taking advantage of the speed you can get from interleaving RAM.

If you can, de-install MyDMX after backing up your scanner library and any show files and stages. Reboot after de-installing. Re-install. Reboot. Test dongle. See if it's cleared up yet(regardless if dongle is plugged in or not)

There is a patch available for Vista. But it sounds like you're past that issue if MyDMX is working. That's what's leading me to a video driver issue. See if you have any new bios updates and video driver updates.

Also, any recent software installs?
