Hi everyone,

a friend of mine has got a problem. He bought the VMS4 American Audio containing the Virtual DJ LE. We installed the software and the drivers of the supplied CD. When starting Virtual DJ we get an error message "virtueldj_le.exe has encountered an error and needs to be closed ...".

We are able to use Virtual DJ in spite of this message, just dragging it away, but when loading music, there is no sound (which is as I suppose the reason for the error). Clicking OK at the error message will close Virtual DJ.

We made the settings at the midi device as told in the manual, tried to reinstall the software and the drivers several times, tried to first plug in the midi device and then installing the drivers and vice versa. We downloaded the latest version of the drivers and Virtual DJ LE from the homepage and installed it. We tried the device at a Windows XP Prof. PC, a Windows XP Prof. notebook and a Vista Basic notebook. None of these did help.

Has anybody an idea how to solve my problem or could it be an hardware problem?

Regards, Schorsch.

Hi,
I have the same problem and I've struggled with it since september. I'm turning crazy I bought my VMS4 in september and I could use it just one time. How can I do to solve this problem?? Where is the VMS BOARD to see the advance of this threat? A curious thing is that when I disabled the midilog outputs the error doesn't show up and the VirtualdjLE detects ok the VMS4 but obviously there's no sound in the output. I've tried everything, I've reinstalled the whole operating system and nothing.. What can I do?
Hi! I remember something that could be important. My desktop PC is a Pentium IV, four years old and it doesn't have 2.0 USB's ports. It has built-in 2 USB PORTS 1.0 so I decided to buy a PCI with 2.0 USB PORT support, and the first time I tried to connect the vms4 with virtual dj LE, it worked fine but once I rebooted my PC the problem returned.
I hope this could help any one to think wher the problem is.

Thanks and regards,
Yes I tried to contact the support, but I didn't get a reply. My friend called the support in cologne, where he bought his stuff, but they weren't really able to help him. It is working somehow sometimes at the moment. But I'm waiting for my friend to tell me exactly when it does work. If I have further information, I will tell you.
I wrote them yesterday. I'll check up tomorrow for any answer.
It's curious, I've installed the VDJLE in a laptop and it works fine. Definitively there's a problem in my desktop but I don't understand why some times it works and sometimes doesn't.!!
To make an upgrade it's expensive, and there should be some reason and solution because as I told you, sometimes the VDJLE works ok with my VMS4 on my desktop.
Hi everybody-! Well, the RAM wasn't a solution. Still I have the same problem! What can I do? Any help please!! Well last saturday I had a party and I decided to work with my laptop and an external hard disk and everything was ok. The party was cool, but I'd rather work with my desktop because of more resources.
Hey!

I had the same problem. I tried many things and now seems to work fine. First of all i uninstalled and deleted any VDJ from my computer (including registry clean, and all the folders from documents). Than i downloaded from the vdj site the VDJ 7LE and the asio driver from adjaudio.com (not from the eu site). First i installed asio driver than reboot. VMS--->4 out ch1-4 analog, 2-3 usb, CF normal---> turn on, plug in usb. Than ASIO settings-->i disabled the "rec" sections. Start VDJ. If started go to config-->change outputs to headphones, than go to soundcard->select asio and pipe in the "ultra latency Asio". Do not press apply. Back to outputs->external mixer, soundcard to vms4. You can press apply now and it should work.if no, try to resplug and restart vms4 and or computer some times and calibrate these section in vdj.I made to work somehow and as i remeber this was the way. Hope it will help!
