Im sure all of you are familiar with the high end catalist software and hardware. Well currently i have been working on a program much like the catalist through a very common program flash. It runs through using your key board. All cues and chases are preset but can be combined to your choice. Its very cool, and is free to all adj forum members. It will be done at the beginning of summer.

And no, i am not pro enough to create the moving head top and no, my program is not dmx, HOWEVER, im looking into using a system through the top head of the scan tron.

The mirror movements will be dmx run and image changes and video layovers will be computer run. WHich in my opinnion is just as cool! 500lumen minimum!

Please reply with any comments, constructive critizium and any complaints... well maybe not complaints.

well, i am testing the program right now, i have 2 projectors, 1 that is 500 lumens and another that is 2,000 lumens. It works amazingly well with both. And are both very visable. The 2,000 lumen is somewhat blinding.

Ok btw. my foger just died, its 4 year old mini party foger, it just died, so im gonna get a 1700w fog storm, cool huh?

Next up: The effect is programed so that you dont even need to have a scanning head attached, you can have the gobo just move around the projector peramaters, it looks the same as a scanning effect. PLUS i have created an amazing strobe effect! Preview video is comming in 1 week. A demo of the program is in 1 month, to get the full version, is july 15th, for free, but shipping payment is reqiered unless i email it too you, then its free.
Well it seems like a fair idea, but you need to consider some things. The lens angle of the projector is far greater. Thes gives less light output over a farther beam spread. Now maybe this doesn't seem like a problem on a regular light, but you have to realize, a fairly standerd project isnt going to put out 3000lumens, or even 1000 at that. This means a larger beam angle, and less projection power.

While the idea sounds cool, I will be very curious to see how it turns out.
Oh forgot, here are the specks:

All gobos have set colors for them.

25 gobos.
-with rotation and 3d + rotating colors
-slow strobe, fast strobe, and random strobe

3 "3d" effects

4 Lazer effects, in red, blue and GREEN! wowow
-SPECTACULR!
-has all the effects that adj lazers have, from galactic star to the over head style of the Emerald.

All these effects are nice, but is recomended that you do actually use ADJ lights, because of costs. Video projector are ussually more than 2,000 new and 750 used. (wait the ruby is 1000) Actually never mind, get a video projector, think about it, the never ending possibilitys of lighting from the next generation!
TO DREW: most video projecters have a zoom. And my 500 lumen proxima that has a 450w bulb is even brighter than my Scan Tron, but with not as large of a range. Maybe someday ADJ will creat a light like that. The catalist program is very complicated, my program is very easy to use! And is free to all of you, unless you guess want the pro version. CLUB: free PRO: 50 PROattach: 250 (comes with program and panning mirror.)
OK well it seems that we have finally come up with a name for our system. OMNI-VECTOR. The program is actually very very small and is the size of about, well specifications are subject to change, but around 200 megs. It has 4 video clips now, causeing the space increase from what we origionally thought was going to be 50 megs.

Club Omni vector: 5 gobos (rotational, almost xyz movement) 2 lazer effects, 2 videos (75 megs)
--$0.00 free to all ADJ FORUM MEMBERS--

Pro Omni Vector: 20 gobos (all effects and masking) 5 lazer effects, 4 extended video clips.
--$50--

Omni Vector Pro/A: comes with a professional looking case with a panning mirror. You mount your projector in the box and hook it up to the cables in the instructions. Then oN the outside of the box are DMX INS AND OUTS, VIDEO IN AND OUT. ON the top of the box it has a X and Y mirror moving, dmx controlled scanning mirror system. Plus comes with Software.
--$350 plus shipping-- ADJ Members get 10 dollar discont.

In a nutshell, the PRO/A looks like an oversized, carpeted scan tron. ALso you can choose for a costom built PRO/A case depending on your projector model and size!

Stay tuned for more updates, picture will be up very very soon!
