(oh yeah. i did try a search, and i didnt find anything that helped, so i figured i would start a new topic.)

I agree with DJ Jess. Radio Shack typically has a HUGE selection of fuses in many sizes. Take the old fuse with you when "shopping".

I also have a Fry's, which typically has a decent selection of fuses as well.

I haven't needed to buy fuses in years, but I'm thinking about getting a compartmented box and having some spares around for items I carry that do use fuses.

If I really need something odd, I have what I call the electronic junk store: HSC Electronics. I shouldn't call them a junk store, but they do have tons of old stuff, as well as probably the best selection of fuses I've been able to find in my area, outside of this one store I not only don't remember the name, but can't remember where it is.

Stock up. Fuses tend to be inexpensive. Never know when one's going to blow on you.
i did take the fuse with me when i went to radio shack, and when i went to the other places. radio shack had fises that were 7A and 250V. but they were too long, way too long. same with home depot. and a while ago, i emailed customer service (or i clicked the "contact us" buttom on the site or something), and asked them about it, and i never heard back from them.

and chris pickett, i have never heard of either of those stores, but i will try looking around my area for more electical stores that might cary fuses. thanks everyone.

any other suggestions are welcome as well. thanks
Hmm, you're getting me concerned about my own gear now. I think I might take fuses out of a few lights and find some replacements for them ASAP. Can't hurt, that's for sure.

I wouldn't think ADJ or anyone else would be using odd sized fuses. That's just too much additional hassle to have to make fuses as well. I am noticing they are moving to "breakers" more and more, which I think is a good idea.

Check online places as well. Personally, I'd rather make sure I can see and touch something like a fuse before using it unless I know the part # and so on.

Are these the glass tube fuses? They typically come in 2 sizes. I think that is what ADJ is using. Those are the type I prefer to use anyways. Blade fuses annoy me.
