Alright, here's my next question. I've been working with setting up steps and putting them on trigger keys and what not. I was wondering if there is a way to activate more than one trigger at a time. For example I would love to have my lights responding to one trigger key and then hit another trigger key to turn on my laser without it turning off my lights! Thanks for any and all help!

You can't trigger individual steps in a scene. You can only trigger scenes. Also I'm sorry but my dmx does not allow for you to trigger one scene and then trigger another on top of the current one. no "transparent cues" or more than one scene playing back at a time is supported in the program. This has never been a function of the program and will never be a function of My DMX. Sorry.
Sincerely,
I use htp setting in User mode to do this... eg :-

I have multiple Parcan scenes assigned to my Digipad2 so I can pick and choose or equally, I may have other lights set to react to music but want to add the laser every now and again..

Once I've got the right one, I just change the settings from "Auto" to "HTP" depending on my need and then select another scene and voila - the lights stay where I put them when I turn my lasers on and off Smiler

I fairly sure this isn't the intended purpose.. but it works for me Smiler

This could be achieved, and quite simply too, but it needs a bit of a re-think on the way that MyDMX currently handles the DMX traffic.

To clarify my point, it would be ideal if MyDMX only responded to "non-zero" data. In other words, when you create a scene using just fixture A and B, zero all of the DMX channles for fixtures C and D.

Similarly, when you create a scene with fixture C and D, zero the channels for fixture A and B.

If MyDMX only responded to "non-zero" DMX data changes, then it would be perfectly do-able to run the scene on Fixtures A&B, and then also call the scene on fixtures C&D, without affecting fixtures A&B.

In a similar fashion, with the "non-zero" feature you could call up individual functions for the motors and the mirrors for a collection of fixtures, so you would not have to continuously re-program everything.

It must be a real headache designing your complete lighting show, and then buying a new fixture or two.
So on the scene builder... can you stack different effects? So effects for A&B fixtures, sweep back and forth, C&D circle... So is this possible now or this effect generator only 1 way effect for all fixtures applied. So other words, how do I go about making a scene on each group of fixtures having their own effects. The doc is confusing. Our light computer is still on XP so I will have to upgrade, or will there be a version for XP.
Well what you can do is select say "group A" movers or scanners or pars and create an effect, and then before you hit generate, select the others fixtures that could also be more scanners, movers, or LEDs and create a new effect. Basically you can create a effect for the fixtures that are selected and then after it is set select new effect and create another effect for a different set of fixtures. So this Scene builder has much much more functionality than the my dmx 1 effects generator.
As far as multiple scenes being played back like maybe 2-3 there may or may not be a awesome update that does this for 2.0 in the very near future Wink
Sincerely,
