Use Different software with myDMX 1

I am the technical director for our local theater and I would like to write my own software to control the lights back stage. I want only three simple buttons, Stage, House and Stage/House. I don't want people fooling around with anything else and myDMX won't let me lock everyone out of the edit tab. How do I use the myDMX dongle and driver with my own software?

Hi Salbrit, simply put, you can't do that. My DMX isn't designed for that type of application. what you need is something like the ART 1024 from Elation.

It's designed for architectural applications but will work perfect for what you are intending from what I can tell.

My DMX, the software, or the drivers for the interface aren't open sourced. Sorry.
