Hi All,

I have another question I was hoping to get some answers for. I just recently purchased a couple of Elation OPTI-16-4 LED lights and a Uni-Pack II dimmer pack. I have read the thread on "Dimmer packs do NOT need a profile" and I am really confused. How do I input the uni-pack on MyDMX so that I can control the OPTIs? There has to be something to put into the setup portion so that it will recognize it...right? Hoping somebody can explain this to me? Yes I know...I am a newbie...still.

Thanks,
Ric

Jingles,

Yes, both are the cool white model and they are very small but very bright. They have a very solid feel to them and I bet they are pretty durable.

This is why I love the forums, they usually save me time and headaches...now if I can only asks qustions before I buy the lights, it would save me time, energy and money, not to mention my vendor's patience.

Thanks again!
Ric
Just do what I do: Explore some ideas here before you buy and see what people have to say.

I've done it a few times, mainly on the Elation forum, to find the right items I needed. Got me the HZ-3000 hazer and ICE-101 ground fogger. I needed a bit of outside help to decided on the Opti Tri pars though.
Jingles can definately speak authoritatively for me on that issue. The whole reason for going with the Opti Tri Pars is much higher output. I have people with more lighting experience than I do using these instead of regular Par64s.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not getting rid of my 64 LED Pros by a long shot. They work great and are a hard working fixture. My issue with them is mostly that I don't really have enough and they don't have the cutting power of an Opti Tri Par at further distances. Like, to cover a large area, the 64 LED pros that I have, I am a bit off the stage and I have to cover with one tree from left to right, and repeat it with another tree.

One thing that I do like is that if I end up with some at the last moment, they are a drop-in repacement for the 64 LED pros because they use an identical 7-channel DMX trait set, at least according to the manuals.
