ULTRA VS AUTO SPOT

ok, now resently i bought a scan tron. i have two dj scans on the side. My final desire is to have 2 dj scans, 2 scantrons on the sides and then 1 rotating gobo intel. AUTO SPOT OR ULTRA SCAN? they both seem to have the same msrp / list price. Well anywas, does the auto spot have unlimited rotation.

BTW, DJ Sound said you could get a ultra system for under 1800. So that is 4 ultras that list for 1,120 plus a controller. Where do you get a system like that.

What is a range that i could get one ultra for and and what is the range i could get one autospot???

the auto spot and the ultra scan are two different kinds of lights: one being moving mirror and one being moving yoke. they can serve different applications so i would definately look at which application best fits your need. i believe both, however, have separate gobo and color wheels. im not sure if this answers your question but hope it helps.

Auto spot is much lighter it cannot spin continuously, the auto spot has a 150 discharge not 250 as the U Scan has, The Auto Spot covers much more area than the U scan. Please email me for further info. Djfreestyle1@hotmail.com

i think the price u got for an ultra system is for two ultra's and a controller.

as for my rule of thumb

1 of anything, i don't care if its a mac 500 looks strange,

2 of anything look very impressive

4 of anything makes you look like 'THE' professional

more than 4 you are just showing off

don't waste your money on a single badass moving head, i would rather have 2 dj scans than an auto spot

I beg to differ...

Quality versus quantity...

IMHO, 1 intel, is nicer than one 30-beam effect light...

And If I had 1 Mac2000 vs. 4 Mighties, I'd rather have the mac!

YOU would, but look at it from the audiences prospective...1 beam or 30 flying all around you? I'd take 4 mighties.

And to answer the question, 2 Scan Trons, 2 DJ Scans, and 1 Auto Spot would actually look fairly decent. I'd take the Auto Spot becaues it's lighter and more versatile.

As an audience I would rather have one nice concentrated light, that moves with a certain logic around the floor, with gobos, crisp colors, etc, as opposed to many flimsy beams that just swiggle around...

Nobody knows/cares about crisp colors or jumpy motors besides DJs. Now 4 intells is totally different. I would take 4 intells over one effect light, but not one intell. How much atmosphere does one beam really add to a party?

2 or more I can see for the synchronious look, but not just one.
