I would like to set up different scenes which include only 1 type of light so I can mix them live via MIDI. Example: wash lights have each color set as a scene, strobe lights have their own scene. I want to run the wash lights as any color and add strobe without shutting off the wash lights. Do I have to make a whole extra set of scenes with wash color and strobe?

I agree, I bought it a few months ago and nowhere did it say that the software was basically incomplete. I think dmx 2.0 is a joke, half the features aren't ready and keep being told it's "in the next update". I'm currently looking for another controller and discouraging anyone I come across from buying it.
Once you have used mydmx2 a bit and understand lighting programming it is much easier to test out other software and understand what to expect. I was hoping to go with freestyler, but it wasn't very intuitive to me. I ended up with showxpress and although I have only had the controller for 3 days I understand the software and have been able to do all the things I had hoped to do with mydmx.
I suppose us MyDMX 2.0 users will have to wait for the "next Updates" to show up because $300 is allot of money to push aside to just upgrade to showxpress which im sure is not cheap either. I have been able to learn the software and programming, but I do find that it is limited on what it can do. Thankfully I dont need much at the moment.
