Hi, I'm an aerobics instructors who is tired of Power Music and Multitracks mixes. I would like to mix my own music, edit them into 32 counts and possibly sell them to my co-instructors. How can I start this process? Is it possible? Is it too expensive to even dream about? Thanks for your help.

Look into a program called Sound Forge (by Sonic Foundry). I have it and it seems to work very well for me.

What about the legalities? Where do you buy the royalties to mixes?

Sound Forge lets you create your own mix. You pick the main beat, add the bass line, hi-hats, sound effects and such. when you buy the program, you buy the royalties to use everything you need to make your music.
