Hi VMS4 user...

I've been watching the VMS4 for a long time, I love the idea of the unit.

I'm ready to take the plunge into the controller world, after using tables for a long time.

I've read mixed reviews since the launch on the VMS4, so I'd like to hear straight from the real users...

One simple question, Do you recommend the VMS4?

Thanks for your input, I'm looking forward to hear your thoughts on the unit.

Thanks for the reply, I'm going to pick up one at guitar center today. I'll let you guys know today how I like it.

I wanted to ask some of the users, when you
read reviews and comments, the comments half the time are by people who haven't really touched the device.

you guys like using traktor with the vms4 more? I use serato, so I'm open to vdj or traktor, either way ill be learning new software ha ha
Well, i'm new to traktor but i've use serato itch and ssl before, so there is a big difference... But after a week i really prefer traktor just because of all the features and the effects and the mapping ^^, it's an awesome peace of software.

Many comments and reviews about the vms4 i saw are negative... i don't really know why, but well i prefer to recommend ppl buy it and try to make your own mapping before comment...

I would like to add to this. I would recomend this if the following issues are addressed.

I love this controller and think it is Ideal for my DJ service company. However I did have to return it to the dealer today due to two problems.

1. Distorted mic signal.

I tried a wide range of mics, mic cables, vocal processors and the sound from the mic was distorted with every aplication. I run a karaoke show as well and I need my mics to sound as good as possible.

2. The XLR outputs had only 1/8 the power output of the master RCA and Booth, and for what ever reason, I had more volume to my right chanel than my left.

I would prefer to use the XLR outputs to my amp or active speaker not the RCAs with a XLR adapter.

I had huge hopes for the VMS4 and still think these issues can be fixed but as said above by the OP these are not issues that can be fixed with a update. So back it went.

I would still be interested in re-buying the VMS4 if these issues are addressed in a VMS4 V2
