Did the choppy motor movement on the DJ Scan get fixed yet?

Nope. If they did then it would no longer be as cheap. (motors cost more)
That choppy motor movement on the djscans is anoyin but i dont think it looks too bad once its playin its program back at a pretty good speed. Also, does anybody elses djscans have this squeak that you can hear when you arent playin music?

i put american dj MIGHTY scan motors in my DJ scans for a while, but something with the power made it so that the seppers had to wide of a range of motion and became very un controllable. So actually, it was kinda funny, but a waste of money. RYME 
Well dj's are exactly what they are ment to be used for, a quick set up mobile dj! Really, they are good if they are used for what they are ment for. FYI, dont use them for stage lighting, i learned the hard way.

I certainly agree... they aren't made to be for any kind of scenes... I have an associate that had several dj scans for his club and all of them literally caught fire and nearly burn the club down... they have a problem with the bridge retifiers in them and I haven't been able to fix the burn boards... I do agree that they are good for a mobile though...
