I understand the MyDMX will never have anysort of tap tempo changes for during show changes... If there a 3rd party software that can utilize the MyDMX box and still work?

Nope. The software is dependent on the hardware and vice versa. If you REALLY need a tap tempo type feature I can recommend a different product that offers it from Elation lighting. However this will not work with your my dmx interface. you'll be buying a new software and interface. Let me know if your interested.

I didn't say similar. i said had a different feature and also more features including the tap/tempo function. anyways the name of the program is called "Emulation" I am also the support tech for it. Here is a link to Emulation. As you can see Emulation is multi platform. works on windows mac and linux.
