Surface Pro X USB not responding

When I hook up to my Mac book my DMX box says PC and I can use the software as its intended, but my Windows surface pro just shows 01.

Windows surface pro have usb-c that go to a donger with a USB port,since the surface pro has no USB port on it. Can someone please advise if I'm missing a step?

Hello, for the usb-c for the Surface Pro I believe that is for connecting the keyboard is that correct? If that is the case it may not be able to connect to it as the MyDMX 3.0 interface will need a standard usb cable.

Thank you for the quick reply Erik. The usb-c port on the surface pro receives a donger which has 2 regular USB ports,HDMI, and Ethernet ports. Its like a splitter box per say.
