SUPPORT.... NO!?

Hello, I purchased my DMX 2.0 a few weeks ago and have posted a couple of requests..... to which I had no reply!... both regarding profiles.

I urgently needed some help with my laser setup, which I had no reply.

Now, after muddling through 2 events with a laptop running my DMX, I thought "I have some time, I will setup my DMX on my desktop to create some new scenes..... "

Oh no I won't because when I plug it in it does not get recognised by my pc!!!!.....

CAN YOU PLEASE HELP!!!!.... I am running windows 7 ultimate 64 bit, with a high spec PC and THIS IS GETTING FRUSTRATING....

Can't find any help or FAQs online to help me and I am becoming a bit disillusioned with ADJ and moreso support from this site.

Sorry to rant, but after taking my cash I feel abandoned!

I was actually going in here to report the same issue you have about the device not being recognised by the computer. And i found out a strange thing about this.

I have always connected the myDMX USB device through an external USB hub on both on my stationary where i program my lights, and on my laptop that i bring with me on gigs.

But a few days ago i noticed my laptop had stopped recognising the myDMX controller, so connected it to my stationary and it worked, back to laptop and no reaction etc..
Then i connected it to my laptop through my external USB hub, and voilà! Connection!

For some reason NONE of my computers (All Windows 7 and both 32 and 64bit) won't recognise myDMX without it being connected to the computer through an external USB hub.

I don't know if this is because i installed the drivers when the device was connected to the hub,but maybe you have the same problem? Try connecting it through an external USB hub?

About the profiles, if you have the manual it is very simple to create them by yourself using Scanlibrary editor (Should be located in C:\MyDMX2)
Very friendly interface, just drag and drop.

sounds like you are having driver issues, the interface might only be "reconized" when plugged into the same usb port i will get this checked out, but thats what it sounds like happened

I have re-installed with and without interface plugged in and still not recognised!!

there is nothing i can get checked out on my end, How is the interface connected to your computer? have you tried other USB ports? have you tried a second computer? does the interface light up?? Did you uninstall AND delete all of the files before reinstalling the program?

One issue I noticed around my USB connections is I can use the 2.0 but if I go to one of the 3.0 ports, nothing works. a little scary if my 2.0 hub fails as it there is only 1 of them with 3.0 taking over for speed reasons. This was on two laptops running windows 7 64 bit, same problem two laptops? Hope that may help.
