Strobes - Converting watts to joules

Hello everyone..

This is aimed at support but whoever can answer this would be great.

ADJ has some good sized strobes, like 750watt and 1500watt units. The rating seems a bit vague though. It's like watts on an amplifier...RMS, Peak, Program, etc.

What rating in joules do these units put out? Does ADJ provide any photometric data on their fixtures?

1 watt = 1 joule per second.
1 joule a second = 1 watt.
1 kilowatt hour = 3600000 joules

well that's pretty cool...

but a d@t@flash is rated at 60 joule output. But I can't see that unit only being 60 watts. It's massively bright.

Maybe I'm not understanding tho. hrm.. =-/

Which ADJ strobe will have similar output to the AF10@0 D@taflash?
