first thank you so much for your quick response i mostly use virtual dj but i have same problem with traktor pro2 i have changed my asio settings multiple times tried it in 2 ch mode with 4 out and 4 ch mode 8out nothing seems to work

if you have traktor, you can check the NI website > knowledge base. there you find plenty of performance tips depending on your OS (you didnt tell us anything about your computer).

Indeed. Usually disabling wifi in device manager helps for playback issues in dj controllers. You can try that too, always with >10ms in latency slider (just for testing purposes).

ok i started on 10 ms latency and worked my way down to 2 ms and sound still sounds bad im using macbook pro with os ten i only have this problem with vms4 if i use my radius1000's with my dv2 mixer sound comes out fine i have been trying all the troubleshooting tips and nothing seems to work is it possible my vms4 is defective

did you follow the tuning tips for OSX on the NI website?

thank you Freshfluke your help was dead on i got the tuning tips from the NI website and it helped i get nice clear sound now but during my practice session i came across another major problem i will start a new thread and i really need your expert help on this thanx again on the tuning tip

You will not feel difference using latency in 6-8ms and 2-4ms, so i'll advice leave that setting in 10ms to prevent any performance problem.

ok my latency was set to 512 and sound seems to come out clear thanx to all who helped me out with this issue
