Some vocal tracks not playing in speaker but playing in the headphones

So last night I'm messing around with Wu-Tang Clan's C.R.E.A.M. and soon discovered that the Method Man's refrain "Dollar Dollar Bill Y'all" (around 1:30) does not play on my speaker, but does in my headphones.

I say doesn't play in the context that if you didn't know it was there you would not make it out, but if you really focus you can hear a faint projection of it.

Not sure how many other songs this is happening with. Anyone else face this?

Someone willing to try out this specific song on their unit?

i guess, there's a channel missing?
(assuming you're playing it from a record)

Actually, it's from a digital file. From one of my XMIX CDs. Not low quality whatsoever.

please explain your complete setup, hardware and software-wise.

what about the balance? i have the feeling that there is one channel missing one way or the other...

Freshfluke,

Figured out the issue and rather embarrassed to admit it. In my basement set-up I only have one speaker set up (though I do own 2) and have it running out of the Left output. That specific track plays in the right channel.

Sometimes the obvious is right under your nose.
