The board runs DMX, which is what a controllable strobe would be, but if you are running 16 fixtures (8 cans and 8 others) then you won't have enough control channels on the board to run a strobe (because a DMX strobe has at least 2 channels). So there are a few options. If the strobe you have is DMX, then you'll need to cut back on the number of fixtures you're using, or get a non-DMX strobe and plug it into the switch pack (so you'll have enough channels).

Aside from that, that system looks fine for your needs, as long as you don't have any fixture/lamp greater than 300 watts on each dimmer/switch channel - doubled up- (each channel can draw only 5 amps).

My reccommendation would be to run the 8 pars on one of the packs set to DIMMER, and the other DJ lights on the other pack set to SWITCH.

ye dont use a dmx strobe just one for on off....use the pack and controller to switch the fixtures on and off....no dimming!
