Show Desinger Question

I am new to this lighting system and right now have to learn how to set up and program it. I am not a professional. Could anyone show me how I should start. I don't know how they set up the lights and channels, I don't want to mess up the old presets. All I want to do is learn the basic steps to program chase, fixture and put that in the show or scense. I read the user manual but I have hard time to understand. I did program the scense to the show, other than that I don't know much about it.
