Just picked up a Show Designer yesterday to replace a DMX-40. I'm really liking a lot of the features this unit has, especially the relatively large amount of room I have for scenes compared to what I used to have.
The problem I'm having is one that revolves around MIDI. The manual for it is *very* brief when it comes to controlling the unit. It states that you can use MIDI notes 0-96 to control scenes, and 97 and up to control shows. I've had fantastic success addressing 12 scenes with their respective MIDI notes. But... the 13th scene & note, for whatever reason, the Designer decides it just received MIDI note 0 again, and turns on scene 1. I'm sure you can understand my frustration at this point. Is there some setting that I have to enable in order for the controller to stop "wrapping" every 13th note?
It's a first generation Designer, properly terminated, using DMX cable.
