Set Levels & Record DMX Buttons

hi general question here could someone explain what the Set Levels button and record DMX in Level Buttons (in the Editor tab - Steps window) do please - just out of interest as I may be missing something !!

Set Level option allows you to edit the step. You can create 10 steps with all values set to 0 and go back and create each step afterwards by hitting the set level button.
Record DMX in level button is not an option on MyDMX. The interface does not have a dmx in.
