SD and Ultra Scan 250's

I GOT ULTRAS TOO.WANT MORE .BUT ONE GUY FROM A STORE TOLD ME THAT THEY ARE DESCONTINUED, IS IT TRUE? I ,AM AFRAID TO BUY MORE.OR NOT TO FIND THEM LATER IN A FUTURE, FOR PARTS SUPPORT ETC,,.WHAT DO YOU KNOW OR THINK ABOUT/

The SD is made by a company called GLP (German Light Products). The mighty Scan and pocket scan are also made by GLP. But the Ultra Scan is made by a diffrent company so it is not in the SD's memory.

Sounds reasonable Mandinga BUT the SD fixture library INCLUDES M a r t i n, C o e m a r, and other manufacturers fixtures!!! ADJ sells the Ultra's but they are not included. Just strange - that's all!

One thought I had on your question: maybe the latest firmware for the SD was released before the Ultra Scan was released. ADJ may not do another firmware update until more fixtures besides the Ultra Scans can be added such as maybe the Concepts and the Auto Spot. Just my 2 cents.

The next one probably will have it then. I have heard ADJ is commming out with a new DMX mooon flower called Nova something.

Yeah, maybe you're right. They may be waiting to add the Concepts, etc with the Ultra's. Hope so - and hope the new rev. comes out soon!

Mandinga the SD was designed by us in the USA.

Specifically in the SD look for a profile for the Futurel***t SC-380 or the Elation vision 250.

Really with the SD as long as the mirror assignments match up to the appropriate channels you are fine. This is to enable the movement macros.

The Ultra Scan is not discontinued as of now, there hpefully are no plans to discontinue the light, and if it is discontinued parts are avaliable through other avenues......

So am I reading that right? I know the new SD2 and the new SD are not carried by GLP but to my knowledge the original SD was developed by GLP.
Just as the Operator is originally an itallian design.

The original SD was designed in the US. GLP made a SD2 but it was never sold in the US.

if you want help let me know and i will tell you step by step how to make the profile yourself

and to the best of my knowledge the operator was made by botex and yes i heard the same being glp made the showdesigner.
then again im the one who told mandinga..lol

Thanks BillyD but I have my ultras working fine with my SD. It just seemed strange to me that ADJ would have many other manufacturers fixtures in the library but not their own premier intel! Maybe they'll put it in with the Concepts, etc
I still can't get the midi on my SD running though!! I sent emails to Isaac and to support but NO replies yet Hello? Hello? Any midi folk out there????
