OK, so you added more LED cans. What is it you want to accomplish?

You could duplicate addresses, which may meet your goal.

But what if you did like this:
I bought 4 Mega Bar 50's. I programmed my show, and it's good.

I bought 4 more Mega Bar 50's, but due to time constraints, I was unable to add more programming into the show, which was fine, because I just set them next to the older MEga Bar 50's and matched addresses.

Now, I want to split things up and start progamming all 8 independently for the same show. A copy function won't work. I gotta basically start from zilch in regards to those lights. The only 2 that can retain their configurations is light 1.

You CANNOT copy scene data from fixture A to fixture B. Best bet is to intelligently manually repeat the work.
No problem.

I was reading between the lines and I sorta knew where this was going because I've been there, in that exact situation. Plus, I'm going to end up repeating it again when I get those Elation Opti Tri-PAR cans, and then the RGB Zooms later on.

It's among one of the many reasons why I'm seeing that while MyDMX is a fantastic product, some of the things I'm working on simply demand a more flexible and adaptable solution, and that's where Compu Show will be a savior.

But as I've said, I ain't losing MyDMX any time soon. It will still be a part of my rig.

However, sometimes it is more time effective to simply make a new scene and start over. It can be a hassle to have to remove all previous values. But, it depends on what you're trying to accomplish. Sometimes it is easier to just copy and zero and redo just the parts that are affected. This can only be decided on a scene by scene basis, or user preference.
