I want to make the right decision on this. Both the Scantron and the Concept-1 are killer lights.
From what I've seen on the downloads the Scantron is the light for me, however the Concept-1 is closer to if not better than the MX-1(My dream light)I am asking your opinion on which way to go this. As you know I am not up to speed on INTEL lights.
The difference between the two lights in price is not that great, however if the Scantron would give my dance floor the effect that the dance crowd would enjoy without spending the extra money for the Concept-1 then this is the set of lights to get.

If the Concept-1 will produce a better show than the Scantron, then this is the set of lights to get.

I have never visually seen either one perform so I really don't know which will give the better show. I am trying to make money and I need the edge of a good light show for my dance floor.

Any professional input will be appreciated.

Lets see a paper comparison.....
Gobo's Concept 19+spot, Scantrons 14....Advantage Concepts
Colors Concept 15 colors + white + 2 quadra colors, Scantrons 11 colors plus white.....Advantage Concepts
Weight....Concepts 17lbs, Scan Trons 23lbs.
Unique Features......
Concept - Built-in 4.9mW laser
Digital Display: Control Mode, DMX value
 Separate Shutter for fast strobing
Scantrons - converts from a scanner to a color changer with gobos:
Circuit breaker protection (no need to change fuses Advantage.....Push

I suggest if you can afford the extra few dollars, go with the Concepts. It is one of the most well loaded lights available, but you can't go wrong with the Scantrons either. Also for mobile use, I would tend to lean towards the Concepts as they are a little lighter, and you can get some ADJ Concept cases that fit 2 Concepts like a glove, and will protect your investment.
Having used both, and having sets of both in my showroom, I can honestly tell you that the Concepts are the way to go, the dichroics are a little sharper than the MX 1 in my opinion (they are all set up in the showroom), not to mention the scenes programmed with the Concept C and the manual control makes life much easier. . . . The Concept also has a 4.9 mw red laser for targeting, but with a little fog, it just enhances it a bit. Vs. the Scantron, it's just not fair, more colors/split colors with the controllor, quadra color, more gobo's, there's no comparison. . . both do use the same bulb, and if you need a gas discharge the option is there for the concept 2 which is $100 more, but the hti 150 has a 6000 hour life vs. an ELC which are typically 300 - 500 hours.
Another plus of the Concept is that it's intelligent, intelligent lighting. . . No DMX terminator required, no dip settings necessary when run off the Concept C. That's right, it automatically detects the Master Unit. . . .not bad eh. . .just be sure to check the Concept Cases as well. . . . hit up the website in my location down below. . .
