Hello, I am new to this board. I am finally glad I found a place where DJ's can discuss Important issues regarding product review.

I am looking to buy 2 Intelligent Scanners and a DMX Controller (preferably with Joystick for programming my own shows) My budget is approx. $1000 Canadaian Dollars (Approx $750 US) was considering the SCANTRON , POCKET SCANS...ETC

Also if you could recommend a DMX controller that I can program my own shows, Includes being able to PAN/TILT with ease I am looking at the DMX Programmer, but it only has 4 pre-sets ( I want like 6-10 Pre-sets)

One more good question: With the budget I have should I maybe buy ONE good light and A controller or 2 cheaper lights with controller?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated

The ScanTron and the PocketScan are both nice lights. The ScanTron is brighter than the PocketScan. The PocketScan has 3 more colors than the ScanTron. Same amount of gobos. The PocketScan is smaller & lighter. ScanTron has a built-in fan & circuit-breaker (no fuses). Having seen both in action, I like the ScanTron better.

I would get two ScanTrons first, then the controller later. Because the ScanTrons can run on their own (sound active), and they really look good in pairs.

Thanks Billabong for your advice.

I will probably go with ScanTrons Mostly cuz they dont have a DUTY CYCLE and they are cheaper and more people seem to favor them more than the pocket scans. I really want a controller , cuz i want to program my lights to suit the event and different styles of music being played.
